Egypt : Part 3 Trip to Cairo and the Pyramids of Giza

Posted in Old Live Journal, Uncategorized on January 7th, 2009 by Jonathan

When I knew I was going to Egypt for Christmas on a family holiday all I could think about is seeing the Pyramids and finally a dream has come true.

The day started early with the now familiar breakfast box and a coach trip to the lovely Taba International Airport. I managed to sneak 2 litres of water passed security. The flight to Cairo is only 50 mins in a twin prop Dash 7 Plane, perhaps one of the most smoothest take off and landings I have ever experienced.
We were met at Cairo International Airport by our tour guide and rushed on to our coach for the day.

First stop of the day was at the "Mosque of Muhammad Ali"
